Creating a Staging WordPress Site using Softaculous Installer

Creating a Staging WordPress Site using WordPress Manager

If you have a WordPress hosting account with us, you can easily create a staging site for testing and development purposes using the WordPress Manager. A staging site allows you to make changes and test updates without affecting your live website. Here's how you can create a staging WordPress site:

Step 1: Accessing WordPress Manager

1. Log in to your hosting control panel.

2. Look for the WordPress Manager.

3. Click on the WordPress Manager button. This will open the WordPress Manager interface.

Step 2: Creating a Staging WordPress Site

1. In the WordPress Manager interface, click on the Scan button to scan your existing WordPress sites.

2. Once the scan is complete, you will see a list of detected WordPress sites.

3. Find the WordPress site you want to create a staging version for and click on the Staging button.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your staging site, such as choosing a domain, sub-domain or subdirectory for the staging site.

5. Click on the Create Staging button to create your staging WordPress site.

Your staging site will be created, and you will receive the login details once the staging setup is complete. You can access your staging site by visiting the domain or subdirectory you specified during the setup process.

Remember, the staging site is separate from your live website. You can safely experiment, test plugins, themes, or make changes without affecting your production site. Once you are satisfied with the changes made on your staging site, you can apply them to your live website.

Remark: Please note that the basic hosting plan only supports one concurrent database connection. If you require an additional database for WordPress staging, kindly raise a ticket in our ticketing system.
